Opening the hood of the 2026 Outlander reveals an all-new powertrain, built around a standard 1.5L 4-cylinder turbocharged mild-hybrid engine. Generating 174 horsepower and 206 lb.-ft. of torque, it ensures spirited performance while achieving a sensible 26/31/28 MPG city/hwy/combined1 maximum EPA-estimated fuel economy. Extend its range by switching its standard Drive Mode Selector to the Eco setting, which optimizes the SUV's performance for maximum efficiency. Ready yourself for Fall River’s snowy winters by equipping the optional S-AWC system2, which enhances the vehicle’s traction and stability. The Outlander also includes a robust standard suspension configuration, including anti-vibration support and a multi-link rear assembly that ensures a smooth ride.
Interior
The 2026 Mitsubishi Outlander seats up to seven passengers inside its spacious cabin, and does so comfortably with 41.7 and 39.9 inches of first- and second-row legroom, respectively. Power lumbar support is standard in the driver’s seat, and it can be further upgraded to include 8-way adjustable posture settings and a memory function for quick and easy driver swaps. A heating function is available for both the front positions and the rear seats, keeping you cozy during frosty morning commutes or school drop-offs.
